collaboration work with Suhjoo Kim, 2023, mixed media installation
This collaborative work is based on the speculative imagination of a company that sneaks people without a background in art education, into the art world. What kind of rules are implicitly shared in the art world, what kind of behavior is disapproved of? and how are these rules and behaviors reinforced by art institutions? These questions are explored in the form of a instalation that features a tutorial video that instruct viewers on how to act like an artist. Through this aesthetic of hybrid mixture of airport and gallery setting, the work hopes to analyse the mechanism of art world from the perspectives of art student.
